Internet all sorted

Hi all I'm back on line and raring to go. I received a new wireless router from Orange and have it all set up and fully functioning! I can now connect to the internet for more than a minute at a time, which is always useful!

Anyway I'm just finishing off a few cards and then I'll get some photos taken and show you what I've been up to.

I'll be back!

Christmas Card

I can only connect to the internet for about 2 minutes at a time at the moment. I called Orange again yesterday evening and they have finally agreed that there is something wrong with my wireless router and are sending another. For this reason this post will be short and I'm not sure when I'll be able to post again.
Anyway here's one card I've made today, obviously a Christmas card, hope you like it.

Computer Problems

Just want to quickly apologise for not posting today. I am having trouble with my internet connection at the moment. I've been on the phone for 3 hours today to Orange broadband and having done the same sequence of button pushes etc. many times it's still messing about. Don't know how long I'm going to be able to stay on here or when I'll be back so just a quick post to say sorry.

I haven't had time for any crafting today either, although I could have got loads done in the time I was on hold!!!!!

More Blog Candy

There's some blog candy up for grabs over here at Dolly Dewdrop. The candy is to celebrate 10,000 hits and is very generous so why not go and leave a comment and while you're there don't forget to have a look at all the fantastic creations.

And some more here on Jenny's blog. People are so generous with their candy I'm going to have to start saving things now for when I hit 5000 visitors! Remember to have a good look at the blogs if you go to join in with the candy draw and good luck everyone.

Blog face lift

What do you think of my new look blog? Please be gentle this is the first time I have ever designed a background for a blog and also the first time I have ventured into the world of html code - it's worse than learning a foreign language even with a step by step guide!!

I did this yesterday having been inspired by Claire's blog which you can find here, her blog has just had a face lift as well and it's fantastic. I don't think mine is anywhere near as good but I'm happy with my first effort. I found a great tutorial on how to make a background for your blog here. I designed the background in photoshop and tweaked my html code in order to display it here.

There was also a tutorial for creating a signature, I thought I may as well have a go at this too and you can see the result below. I love the signature but I am not happy with the frame around the image. I couldn't work out how to change the html coding for this, despite the instructions! I've added the signature in the SETTINGS, FORMATTING, POST TEMPLATE section. If anyone can tell me how to change the html code so that my signature shows up in every post without the frame I'd really appreciate you leaving a comment.

Anyway perhaps I'll get round to some crafting today after spending much of yesterday fiddling around with pictures and files in photoshop.

Thanks

Blog Candy Alert

Hi all,

I've been trying to catch up with every one's blogs this morning and there are some fantastic things to see.

I've been inspired and in absolute awe of some of the cards and crafts I've seen. Also on my journey I've come across some fantastic blog candy on an absolutely wonderful blog, here. Make sure you go and check out Susan's stunning creations and really great tutorials and leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning some superb candy.

That's all for now, I'm going to continue on my blogging tour.

Christmas Fat Pages

These are the final four Christmas Fat Pages.

I can't wait to complete my fat books with everyone elses pages. I'm really enjoying having little books with lots of peoples ideas and expertise in them.

Christmas Fat Pages

Back to Christmas today! Here are the next three fat book pages.

This is the back of the pages. Each one has a different backing paper but they are all designed to look like wrapped parcels with a ribbon and a tag. My details are on the back of the tag.

Birthday Card

Break from Christmas for today. This is a birthday card I made for a lady who asked to have something for her brother which was humorous. As you know I always struggle more to come up with ideas for cards for a man and this was no exception. I finally found a cartoon which is about siblings and then used what I think is quite a masculine backing paper to mount it all on. I'm quite happy with the card although I'd never say it was a favourite.

Christmas Fat Pages

I can't believe I am showing you Christmas items in September but I guess you have to start early to get everything done. I still haven't started my personal Christmas Cards but guess I'm going to have to get down to them sooner rather than later, especially as it is now October.

Here are the next three Christmas Fat Pages:
