Finally finished some more things for the sale

I am happy to say I have managed to fit making bits and pieces for the sale I told you about into my hectic days. I have made a few different designs of cards, including birthday cards and thank you cards. I have designed a new flyer to be placed next to my cards and I'm hoping I get a few orders from this. I still want to add a few more bits and pieces and make some more unique items but I'm just going to have to see if I have time.

Here's what I've made so far:

You can see the mess which I pushed to one side on the desk in order to take the picture!

Little Memory Books

I have to thank Sally and Doublesided for this fantastic idea, which I have shamelessly stolen!!! These are little books which are made out of one sheet of 12x12 paper and two cover pages. I, like Sally, have made them into new baby memory books and have included on the pages inside pages to fill in the weight etc. of the baby, little envelopes for putting little bits and pieces in and also spaces for photographs. I think these are really cute and I really appreciate Doublesided and Sally sharing their ideas and creations on the Forum.

I have made these for the sale I am doing soon and have made both pink and blue books:

ATC

I swapped an ATC with TinaM. I'm not sure what I'm going to get as her swap title was lucky dip. Here is the ATC I made:

I love this stamp. I only bought it recently but it was a bargain in the sale section of one of the Craft Central Stores. It was only 50p. I do love a good bargain!

Going Away

This is very last minute but I'm going away for just over a week. I'll be back next Sunday. I have scheduled some posts to appear on my blog while I am away so do keep checking back. Hopefully I'll get to spend some money on crafty goodies and I'll let you know when I'm back.

Technique Swaps

Every month there is a technique ATC swap on the CM&P Forum hosted by 3katz. The technique we must use during May is heat embossing. I love this technique and had some great fun coming up with different ATC's. On some I have embossed over stamped images and then water coloured the images. I have also triple embossed a rectangle which I have then stamped into on one.

For some reason I was sure we had to make six and I sent them off this morning. It wasn't until I got back from the post office that I re-read the original information and realised I should have only made 4 - oh well, this means there are 2 for 3katz as a thank you for hosting the swap. You can see my ATC's for the swap below:

I've been so busy

I have been so busy for the past week. I have been asked to make some items to sell at a local event with other crafts people. We are not charged for displaying our goods and we can advertise our companies any way we choose. The event is always well attended and so I am trying to get quite a lot of cards and hopefully some unique items made to include. I have also decided to advertise myself using leaflets so I need to update these as well.

With that and also trying to complete the orders I am currently working on I have been neglecting my blog but rest assured I'll be back and will show you what I am sending to the craft event and also all the other things I have been busy creating.

Another Corset ATC

Well it's another horrible day here - it hasn't stopped raining since about 8 this morning and it looks like it's set to stay for the day. I wasn't planning to go out today so it doesn't really matter but it's nice to be able to look out of my craft room window at the sun and a blue sky. Hope the weather is better for everyone else.

I put the corset ATC's I showed you yesterday on the CM&P Forum to swap and they were all requested. Two people asked for the last one at the same time so I said I'd make another so they could both have one. Anyway here it is:

Hobbycraft Bargains

I popped to Hobbycraft this morning because I need a specific paper punch for an order I am currently working on, unfortunately they didn't have the punch but they did have loads of Sizzix dies and lots of other goodies on sale.

I got quite a few dies and some 3 for 2 crystal gem stickers and some half price 12x12 paper. All together my full basket should have totalled about £70 but it only came to just over £25 and then I also had a 'spend £25 and get £5 off ' voucher!!

So as I didn't manage to get the punch I need I'm going to have to go to another Hobbycraft - Is it too much to hope they might have a sale on as well??!!!

Corset ATC's

Hello all, hope everyone is well. We seem to have run out of sun here, compared to the last week it's been horrible all day - cloudy cold and raining on and off. Let's hope we get some sun back soon.

I have been quite busy for the last few days, but finally found some time to make some ATC's this afternoon. I downloaded a template for a corset ATC/card from the ATC World group and set to work making some ATC's. After a bit of fiddling and changing the pattern around a bit here's what I came up with:

I am happy with them all but I love the floral/brown one, (bottom right).

New Header

How do you like the new header on my blog? I had a bit of spare time yesterday and thought I'd give designing a new header a go. It is a work in progress and I am very happy with it as a starting point. It only took me about 15 minutes to complete and I enjoyed designing something solely on the computer.

Inchie swap

I've been trying to include a thank you ATC with the ATC swaps I host. Most of these have been done at the last minute - literally after I've sorted out the swaps and they are all ready to post! So I thought I'd try and get ahead and get some thank you inchies made for the swap I'm currently hosting. The swap doesn't finish until the middle of June so I have really managed to get ahead of myself this time.

I decided on a simple design - A stamped image which says Thank You:

Birthday Card

I have made a birthday card for a friend. Having just completed a black and white ATC for a competition and the black and white inchies - I am loving black and white and greyscale so I decided to make the card using this theme. However, I did add a touch of colour at the end. The red label which is hanging from the card has the birthday greeting on it's reverse.

Hope you like it:

Zentangle swaps

I decided to put my zentangle ATC's onto the forum to be swapped. I asked, if possible, for zentangle ATC's in return and have been waiting eagerly for the swaps to come in the post. I received the first 2 swaps this morning and I think they are great.

The first ATC was made by Doublesided and I thought I'd share it with everyone on here, here it is:
I love the design and that each flower petal has a different pattern.

The second was made by Barb:

I think the piano in the corner is great and I love the little flowers at the bottom.

So a great big thank you to for two fantastic zentangle ATC's.

I've been shopping!!

What a lovely day - it's sunny and dry here with a blue sky and just a slight breeze. I think Summer is finally on the way!

It's so nice I decided to go out for a little trip and I've just got back from a nice morning in Windsor. I had a lovely walk along the river with an ice cream and a wander through the shops. I went into Lakeland and had a look at their craft section. I treated myself to a pack of unmounted stamps and some small embellishments. I'm not sure what I'm going to use the embellishments for but I'm sure they'll come in handy one day! I can't wait to try the stamps, I know just what I'm going to make first, as soon as I find the time. I'll show you my creations with my new toys soon.

Inchies Received

I have received inchies for the swap I'm hosting from two people now. They are all great and I think there will be a great variety of inchies from everyone. I thought I'd share the inchies with you.

These are made my McKeever:

These are made by Taz:

I think they are all great, but I love the little trousers McKeever has made and the Macintosh flower by Taz.

More Fat Book Pages

I have received a couple more fat book pages from the swaps I am currently participating in on the CM&P Forum. I thought I'd share them with you all.

The first is a butterfly fat book page and is made by Mhairi. I love the vintage look to the page and the image is lovely also:

The second page is a fairy fat book page and is made by Isobel. I think the colours of this page are great and the backing paper with the rose petals in is lovely:

Egyptian ATC Swap

I organised an ATC swap on the Card Making and Papercraft Forum with the theme: Egyptian. There were no other rules and any and all techniques were acceptable. I received the last of the ATC's today. They are all amazing and there are lots of different ideas. I thought I'd share them with you and show all the ATC's together. Apologies for the photograph, it is not the best and I can't redo it as the ATC's have now gone in the post!

I always feel very priviledged when I host a swap because I get to see all the amazing ATC's together. Thank you to everyone who joined in with this one.
