Fat Page RAK

The two fat page swaps are being hosted by a lovely lady and I wanted to make her an extra page to thank you. I've made a page which is very similar to my favourite of the four I made:

Black & White Fat Book Pages

There is a second fat book page taking place on the CM&P Forum at the moment and I thought while I was making the oriental pages, (see yesterdays post), I may as well make some Black and White ones as well! The swap is for another 2 pages.

Here's the first:

And the second:

I forgot to take a photo of the back of these ones!

Oriental Fat Book Pages

I haven't really joined in with many swaps on the CM&P Forum for a few months now as my crafting mojo was awol for quite a while. However as it seemed to make a welcome return about a month ago I thought I'd sign up for a new swap. I thoroughly enjoyed making these and am glad I signed up, can't wait to see the swaps I get in return.

I was required to make two fat book pages, (for anyone who doesn't know they are 4 inch squares), to the theme of 'Oriental'.

Here's the first:

Here's the second, a waterfall fat page:

Christmas Fat Pages

Back to Christmas today! Here are the next three fat book pages.

This is the back of the pages. Each one has a different backing paper but they are all designed to look like wrapped parcels with a ribbon and a tag. My details are on the back of the tag.

Christmas Fat Pages

I can't believe I am showing you Christmas items in September but I guess you have to start early to get everything done. I still haven't started my personal Christmas Cards but guess I'm going to have to get down to them sooner rather than later, especially as it is now October.

Here are the next three Christmas Fat Pages:

Christmas Fat Pages

I've joined in with another fat book swap on the CM&P Forum, this time the theme is Christmas. I thought this swap was going to be really easy but I struggled to find ideas for the first pages but soon got into the swing of making the pages.

Here are the first three pages:
Hope you like them

Finally the Final Fat Pages!!

Yay I've done it, I've finished the cat fat book pages! Here are the last three:

As any regular readers of my blog know I love using black, white and red so I thought I'd make the last few fat pages in my favourite colours. The first has another embossed cuttlebug background but this time I highlighted the embossing using a silver ink pad. The second has some cat sequins in the corners, I've used these on some of the other pages but I have no idea where I got them from I just found them in the bottom of a drawer when I was looking through for some inspiration the other day! I've used die cut corners on the last page. I love this die it is a cut and emboss from Ellison/Sizzix and cuts both this and another corner both designs are quite art deco.

Well that's the end of the cat fat pages, back to cards and other stuff tomorrow.

Yet More Fat Pages

Yes, you guessed it more fat pages, but I'm nearly there only another three to go! I'm actually really enjoying making these and they're giving me a break from all the orders I'm trying to complete at the moment.

I love the brown colours of the first page. I always like working with brown but find it quite a difficult colour to buy. Most brown papers are either too light or dark for my liking. I prefer a real Cadbury's chocolate kind of colour, just wish it were as tasty!!

I've used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the background of the second page. I love these embossing folders and I'd love to have them all although if finances allowed. My only wish is that they were just a bit bigger so you could use it as a background on a 5x7 inch card.

Hope you aren't getting too bored of fat book pages!

More fat pages!

Well I'm keeping the promise I made to myself and making a couple of these fat pages each day, I need to make 11 in total so there's another couple of days ahead of me yet!

I love the green paper on the first page. It's a wallpaper sample I got quite a while ago just because I liked the paper so much. It's been sitting in my paper drawer ready for use but I like it so much I keep putting off using it. Silly but I'm sure other crafters know exactly what I mean!
Once again the pages have stones on them.

Promise I'll show you something other than fat pages soon!

Cat Fat Pages

I've made another couple of fat pages this morning. The second has a hand-written 'meow' on the bottom. I'm always a little nervous about writing on cards and craft items as I always think I'm going to make a silly mis-spelling or my writing won't be neat enough. Luckily this one turned out ok. Both pages have small stones stuck on them although they're quite hard to see in the photo's.

I'm off out now to do a bit of food shopping, hopefully the rain will stay away long enough. Hope you all have a good weekend whatever you're up to.

Finally completed some fat pages

I showed you the backs I'd made for the cat and dog fat page swap last week sometime and as much as I kept promising myself I'd get on and make some of the fronts life took over and I just haven't had the time.

I managed to find a spare hour today and have stamped the images I'm going to use and have also completed a couple of the pages. I bought this stamp in the Range a couple of weeks ago specifically for this swap and have decided to use the same image on each one so I'm afraid my pages are all cats - not a dog in sight!

Here are the first two pages I have completed, they are quite similar and I like the fact that the images are at an angle. This is something I often think about doing but I'm always worried it will look like I couldn't stick straight! So I assure you it was intentional.

The rest will be different and I have decided I will take the time to make 2 a day until I have finished these so watch out for lots of fat pages over the next few days!
